Meet Shelly

Hello! My name is Shelly, and I am the founder of Chatter Matters. I love working with my pediatric clients. Chatter Matters is a speech therapy service for pediatrics with speech and language needs. I have been a speech therapist since August of 2000 working in the public schools. While working with the Intermediate Unit #12, I was trained to administer the ADOS and was on a traumatic brain injury team. I have worked with students from kindergarten to twelfth grade. I am licensed in the state of PA and I am an American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) certified speech-language pathologist (What is ASHA certification).

Chatter Matters is an affordable mobile pediatric speech therapy business serving Greencastle, Chambersburg, Mercersburg, and Waynesboro. Virtual therapy can also be provided in PA. Chatter Matters provides screenings, evaluations, and therapy.

I have extensive experience and training in many speech and language disorders, including:

• Fluency Disorders (Stuttering)
• Language Delays and Disorders
• Autism Spectrum Disorders and Social/Pragmatic Language Disorders
• Phonological Awareness Disorders

I believe speech therapists should show genuine care and understanding toward their clients. I make those clients feel safe and valued. Not only do I teach the clients strategies to improve their speech, but I also teach their caregivers strategies to improve their children’s skills.

Currently, insurance is not accepted. Chatter Matters accepts cash, check, credit card and HSA/FSA cards.
