Why should I choose a private in home speech therapist?

There are situations that may occur where a child might not qualify for school-based therapy even when the child may be having difficulty with their communication skills. In other instances, a child may qualify for school-based speech therapy, but the child is receiving group speech therapy and is unable to receive individualized therapy. Parents might prefer that individualized therapy versus group therapy that is usually provided in the schools. In addition, caregivers might like the convenience of home-based therapy or teletherapy instead of driving to a clinical setting.

How long is a typical therapy session?

Sessions are usually 30 minutes long, depending on the client's needs and attention span. I always take time to discuss the session to the caregiver. If I go into the daycare or the caregiver is not home that day, I will send a short video of the session so the caregiver can view what I had worked on with the client.

Do you take insurance?

Currently, insurance is not accepted. However, cash, credit card, and HAS/FSA cards are accepted.
